Woman arrested on weapons, menacing charges in Malone

MALONE, NY — New York State Police arrested a woman on weapons and menacing charges following a harassment complaint on June 24, 2026.

Kady L. Grow, 32, of Malone, was charged with Menacing in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (previous conviction), and Resisting Arrest.

Troopers responded to State Route 11 in the village of Malone at approximately 4:01 p.m. for a report of a harassment complaint.

An investigation determined that Grow became involved in a verbal altercation with the victim, during which she allegedly displayed a knife and made threatening remarks.

The victim contacted law enforcement, and Grow left the area before troopers arrived.

Troopers later located Grow.

As troopers advised her that she was under arrest, she experienced a medical event.

Malone EMS responded to evaluate Grow; however, she refused transport to the hospital.

Grow then re-entered her residence, where she refused to comply with lawful commands and actively resisted arrest.

Troopers subsequently took Grow into custody without further incident and transported her to Alice Hyde Medical Center, where she refused medical treatment.

Grow was then transported to SP Malone for processing.

She was arraigned in the Town of Westville Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail.
