SWATARA TOWNSHIP, PA — A 28-year-old man wanted in connection with a homicide has been taken into custody and is awaiting arraignment.
Esteban Paulino Villegas was arrested July 1 following a manhunt that began the previous evening.
Swatara Township Police were dispatched to the Chestnut Pointe apartment complex at 8:46 p.m. June 30 for a reported homicide.
Villegas fled the scene on foot and was considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
He was last seen wearing a white tank top, gray sweat pants and no shoes.
Police said Villegas may have been suffering from a mental health issue at the time.
Authorities had urged residents not to approach Villegas and to call 911 if they spotted him.
