HALFMOON, NY — A woman was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge following a single-vehicle crash Thursday night.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash at 10:22 p.m. on Hudson River Road in the town of Halfmoon.
Kristine M. Benoit, 37, of Halfmoon, was charged with DWI, an unclassified misdemeanor.
Benoit is accused of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition.
She allegedly refused the chemical test.
Benoit had reportedly been traveling south on Hudson River Road when her vehicle, a 2026 Honda Civic, left the roadway and struck a large cement block.
There were no injuries reported and no other vehicles or people involved.
Benoit was also cited for refusing to submit to a prescreen breath test at the request of a police officer and speed not reasonable and prudent, both infractions.
Deputies were instructed by the Honorable Joseph V. Fodera of the Halfmoon Town Court to release Benoit on an appearance ticket pending proceedings in that court.
