PHOENIX, NY — The Phoenix Police Department investigated a complaint involving the operator of a 2015 Nissan who allegedly drove off the roadway and into the private yard of a resident on State Street on June 23, 2026.
During the investigation, it was determined that the operator, Marygrace L. Vanness of Clay, New York, was intoxicated.
Vanness was charged with Class E Felony Driving While Intoxicated with a previous DWI conviction within the past 10 years.
She was also charged with Misdemeanor Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated for operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.18% or greater.
Vanness is scheduled to appear in Oswego County CAP Court on July 7, 2026.
