Two-vehicle collision at Broadway and East Chester Street in Kingston

KINGSTON, NY — Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Broadway and East Chester Street at approximately 4:06 p.m. June 30.

A silver Subaru operated by a 60-year-old Saugerties resident was traveling through the intersection with a green light from West Chester Street, crossing Broadway toward East Chester Street.

A gray Honda operated by a 20-year-old Poughkeepsie resident was traveling northwest on Broadway and entered the intersection, failing to stop for a red light.

The Honda collided with the Subaru, causing it to overturn.

The operator of the Subaru was transported to HealthAlliance Hospital for injuries sustained during the collision.

The operator of the Honda refused medical attention at the scene and was issued four tickets.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The Kingston Fire Department responded to the scene for reported injuries.
