Man injured in disturbance at Verona bar

VERONA, PA — A man was seriously injured during a disturbance at a local bar late Saturday night.

Officers from the Verona Police Department responded to the Hula Bar at approximately 11:12 p.m. June 27 for a reported disturbance inside the establishment.

Upon arrival, officers found an injured adult male being treated by bystanders rendering first aid.

The victim sustained injuries to his head and neck and was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.

The incident remains under investigation.

The Verona Police Department is continuing to gather evidence and follow up on leads.
