SCITUATE, RI — A Brooklyn man faces multiple fraud-related charges following an investigation by the Rhode Island State Police Financial Crimes Unit.
Gianni Souffranc, 26, of Brooklyn, New York, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. on 12 counts of identity fraud, 12 counts of fraudulent use of credit cards, two counts of bank fraud and 12 counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.
The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Financial Crimes Unit.
Souffranc was arrested by the White Plains, New York Police Department and extradited to State Police Headquarters by the Rhode Island Sheriffs.
He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace McCaffery and assigned $100,000 surety bail.
Souffranc was admitted to the Adult Correctional Institutions – Men’s Intake Center.
