HARTFORD, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 northbound near mile marker 69.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:49 p.m. June 25, according to police.
Troopers from the Royalton barracks responded to the scene and located a Ford F-150 totaled in the median and a Mercedes 350 on the right shoulder.
Police said the Ford F-150, operated by Emma Wunsch, 29, of Charlestown, New Hampshire, was traveling northbound on I-91 when it sideswiped the Mercedes 350, operated by Edirald Maxhari, 34, of Farmington, Connecticut, and lost control.
The F-150 went into the median where it struck a tree, police said.
Wunsch, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of suspected minor injuries.
A passenger in the Mercedes was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center as a precaution.
Maxhari, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained suspected minor injuries.
The Mercedes sustained minor driver’s side damage.
Weather conditions at the time included light rain and damp road conditions.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but speed and alcohol appear to have been factors, police said.
The Hartford Police Department, Hartford Fire Department and Windsor Fire Department assisted at the scene.
