Man arrested after foot pursuit in Berlin

BERLIN, CT — Police arrested a man June 22, 2026, after he fled from officers responding to a report of a protective order violation.

Tyree Jenkins ran from officers on foot, prompting a response from a K-9 unit and mutual aid from Newington Police and Connecticut State Police, according to the Berlin Police Department.

After a lengthy foot pursuit, officers found Jenkins hiding in a shelving unit inside Harbor Freight Tools at 179 Webster Square Road.

Jenkins was charged with violation of a protective order and interfering with an officer/resisting.

He was held on $50,000 bond and arraigned June 23, 2026, at GA 15.
