TOWN OF ULSTER, NY — Police are investigating a two-car crash that sent one person to the hospital Tuesday morning.
Ulster County 911 dispatched police, fire and EMS to Old Kings Highway in the area of Bogert Lane at approximately 6:32 a.m. for a personal injury motor vehicle accident.
Dispatchers advised that occupants were possibly entrapped.
Ulster Police units arrived on scene and located a 2014 Nissan Versa and 2021 Ford F550 Utility with heavy front end damage in the southbound lane.
The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan Versa was extricated by Ruby Fire personnel and transported by Empress EMS to Health Alliance Hospital.
The driver and sole occupant of the Ford F550 was not injured as a result of the collision.
The roadway was shut down for approximately an hour and a half while emergency personnel were on scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Ulster Police were assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, Ruby Fire Department, Ulster Hose Fire Company and Empress EMS.
