Man arrested on stalking charge in Lyndon

LYNDON, VT — A 22-year-old man was arrested June 18 on charges of aggravated stalking and multiple violations of court orders.

David Goodwin, of Lyndon, was taken into custody at 14 Depot Street at 1:50 p.m. after police received a complaint from a town resident.

The woman reported receiving a disturbing email from Goodwin, who was under court order not to contact or harass her.

Police said Goodwin was subject to several sets of conditions of release and a protective final order against stalking.

He was arrested without incident and held at the Lyndonville Police Department.

Goodwin faces charges of aggravated stalking, a felony, six counts of violation of conditions of release, and violation of an abuse prevention order.

He was ordered lodged by the court and taken to the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.

Bail was set at $10,000 cash or surety.
