Vehicle crashes into tree in West Fairlee

WEST FAIRLEE, VT — A Hartford man crashed into a tree after failing to maintain his lane on June 16, 2026.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to the single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 113 near Beanville Road at approximately 6:32 a.m.

Andrew Reese, 36, of Hartford, was driving a 2025 Chevrolet Trax east when he exited the east side of the road and struck a tree, according to police.

Reese was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash.

The vehicle sustained major front-end damage.

Reese was issued two Vermont Civil Violation Complaints for driving on roadways laned for traffic and operating without a license.

The West Fairlee Fire Department and Upper Valley Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Weather was clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
