FORT EDWARD, NY — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people Tuesday following an investigation into a residential burglary on Lydius Street.
Charley O. Blissit, 18, of Fort Edward, and a 17-year-old male burglarized a residence while it was occupied, stealing vehicle keys from within before taking the vehicle, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.
Both individuals were later located by the Sheriff’s Office still in possession of the stolen vehicle.
Both Blissit and the juvenile were charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a class C Felony; Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a class E Felony; and Petit Larceny, a class A Misdemeanor.
Blissit was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and arraigned through Centralized Arraignment.
He is currently lodged at the Washington County Jail.
The 17-year-old male was arraigned separately in Youth Part Court in Washington County Court.
