BRAINTREE, MA — A suspect who fled from a stolen vehicle on Route 3 South was taken into custody Tuesday morning after a search involving multiple police agencies.
The incident began at 11:48 a.m. when Massachusetts State Police reported a bailout from a stolen motor vehicle on Route 3 South.
The suspect fled on foot into Braintree, prompting a large police presence in the area of Pearl Street and Middle Street.
Police said the suspect was believed to be moving toward the Landing area during the search.
Authorities later indicated the suspect may have entered the Weymouth Landing area before being apprehended.
The Braintree Police Department said there was no known danger to the public during the incident.
Police did not immediately release the suspect’s identity or what charges they may face.
