COVENTRY, RI — A woman who walked into the Coventry Police station to complain about drugs she purchased was arrested early Friday morning.

Gloria Tiberi, 62, of Coventry, entered the police station at approximately 2:30 a.m. May 29 to file a complaint.

Tiberi told officers she was unhappy that the drugs she purchased might be fentanyl and not cocaine as she had wanted, according to police.

Officers took possession of the narcotics.

The drugs tested presumptively positive for fentanyl, a controlled substance, police said.

Tiberi was placed under arrest and held in a cell until her court appearance.

She appeared before a 3rd District Court judge and was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, 10 grams or less.

Tiberi pleaded not guilty and was given $1,000 surety bail.

She was then presented to Superior Court as a bail violator on a previous case that includes narcotics charges, according to police.
