AKRON, PA — A 67-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning after police say he was yelling through walls at his neighbors.

West Earl Township Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call on the 200 block of Miller Road at 4:45 a.m. on May 31.

Allen L. Weachter, of Pennsylvania, was reportedly yelling through the walls in an attempt to harass and contact his neighbors, police said.

Weachter had a prior history of harassment and stalking involving the same neighbors, according to police.

Officers attempted to engage Weachter upon arrival, but he refused to cooperate, police said.

A warrant was subsequently obtained through District Judge Torrey Landis, charging Weachter with felony stalking and misdemeanor harassment.

When officers entered the premises with the warrant, they found Weachter holding a knife, police said.

Weachter was taken into custody without incident.

He was arraigned on May 31 before Judge Landis and bail was set at $15,000.

Weachter is charged with stalking, harassment with a course of conduct with no legitimate purpose, and harassment.
