BINGHAMTON, NY — The Broome County Sheriff’s Office has announced eight arrests made during the week ending June 10.
Nicolas G. Arias, 23, of Binghamton, was charged with two counts of menacing a police officer, a class D felony, obstructing governmental administration, a class A misdemeanor, and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor, following a menacing investigation in the city of Binghamton.
Jason N. Diamond, 44, of Port Crane, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, and obstructing governmental administration in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, following a traffic stop in the city of Binghamton.
Rondell V. Dowdell, 37, of Endicott, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the village of Johnson City.
Alexander J. Fahs, 34, of Endicott, was charged with criminal contempt in the 1st degree, a class E felony, and criminal mischief in the 3rd degree, a class E felony, following an investigation into an order of protection violation in the town of Union.
Angel D. Gonzalez, 25, of Binghamton, was charged with promoting prison contraband in the 1st degree, a class D felony, and tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony, following a contraband investigation in the Broome County Correctional Facility.
George T. Layton, 50, of Binghamton, was charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, along with multiple traffic violations, following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident in the city of Binghamton.
Gavin T. Swartz, 28, of Binghamton, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, and possession of burglar tools, a class A misdemeanor, following an investigation into suspicious activity in the town of Union.
Jason M. Sweeny, 43, of Friendsville, Pennsylvania, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a class E felony, criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the village of Endicott.
