7 people shot in Trenton

TRENTON, NJ — Seven people were shot in a mass shooting incident on Centre Street.

Trenton Police received a ShotSpotter activation for multiple rounds in the area of Centre and Federal Streets at approximately 10:30 p.m. on June 9, 2026.

Upon police arrival, multiple persons were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

In total, seven persons were struck by gunfire, including one male and one female teenage juvenile, as well as five adult male victims, ages 30, 36, 24, 29, and 22 years old.

All of the victims were transported to Capital Health Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.

Six of the victims are currently listed in stable condition.

One victim is listed as in critical but stable condition.

The crime scene extended from Centre and Furman Street to Center and Hills Place.

Four unoccupied vehicles and one unoccupied residence were also struck by gunfire.

The Mercer County Shooting Response Team responded to both the hospital and the scene and is actively investigating the incident.

The initial investigation indicates that multiple shooting suspects were involved, with over fifty spent rounds of ammunition recovered from the scene.
