Woman arrested on domestic charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A woman was arrested following a domestic dispute on the city’s west side June 8, 2026.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon responded to a residence at around 11:34 p.m. for a domestic dispute in progress.

Police determined that during a verbal dispute, Jennifer M. Volpe prevented the victim from calling police by taking a cell phone from their hand and throwing it.

Volpe also caused damage to the victim’s Wi-Fi router by smashing it against a wall, according to police.

Volpe was placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown Police Department.

She is being charged with two counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
