HOPE VALLEY, RI — A woman was arrested on multiple charges following an investigation by state police.
Martha Russo, 36, of Newport, was arrested at 9:02 a.m. Monday.
She faces charges of obtaining property by false pretenses/personation over $10,000 and access to computer for fraudulent purposes.
Russo was also wanted on a Second Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a technical violation hearing on an original charge of cyberstalking from the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.
The arrest resulted from an investigation by members of the Hope Valley Barracks and a subsequent warrant check.
Russo was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks for processing.
She was later transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
