Man cited on unlawful mischief charge in Richford

RICHFORD, VT — State Police responded to a report of unlawful mischief on River Street on June 8, 2026.

Troopers were notified at approximately 8:20 p.m. by a building landlord who had been alerted by neighbors that someone had allegedly broken an apartment door to gain entry.

Upon arrival, troopers determined an altercation had occurred at the apartment.

Police say Troy Pecor, 30, of Richford, smashed the front door and caused other damage inside the apartment.

Pecor was taken into custody at the scene.

He was cited to appear in Franklin Superior Court to answer to the charge of unlawful mischief.
