Three arrested after traffic stop in Orleans

ORLEANS, VT — State police arrested three people on drug charges and an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop on Main Street on June 4, 2026.

Troopers stopped a 2011 Toyota Rav4 for a motor vehicle violation at approximately 3:21 p.m.

The operator was identified as Robert Elliot, 63, of Glover.

Police also identified Lucrezia Lachapelle, 52, of Lyndon, as a passenger in the vehicle.

Lachapelle had an active warrant for her arrest and was taken into custody and transported to Northern State Correctional Facility.

Troopers identified indicators of narcotics during the stop.

A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Elliot on a charge of possession of cocaine.

Another occupant, Allie Duda, 39, of Morristown, was arrested on a charge of unauthorized possession of prescription drugs.

Elliot and Duda were issued citations to appear in Orleans County Superior Court and released.
