NEWPORT — A 20-year-old Newport City man has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash in Derby last month, Vermont State Police said.

Aiden Lamoureux, 20, was driving a 2011 Volvo XC70 north on Salem Derby Road at about 7:33 p.m. when the vehicle crossed Route 105, left the roadway and entered a field, where it rolled several times, according to police.

Lamoureux was ejected from the vehicle.

He was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

A passenger, Aiden Farrand, 19, of Charleston, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Farrand was taken to North Country Hospital and later transferred to UVM Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.

Anyone who may have seen the vehicle before the crash is asked to call the Vermont State Police Derby barracks at 802-334-8881.
