Man injured in electric scooter accident in Hinsdale

HINSDALE, NH — A 35-year-old man was seriously injured in an electric scooter accident on Plain Road on June 4, 2026.

Police received a 911 call at approximately 8:57 a.m. reporting that a man was found unconscious and not breathing on Plain Road.

The callers were initially unsure if the man had been struck by a vehicle.

The man regained consciousness and began breathing again before first responders arrived.

Three individuals who found the injured man stopped to render aid.

Police said the actions of those individuals likely saved his life by remaining calm and following instructions from the 911 dispatcher.

The incident does not appear to be a hit-and-run, but rather an accident involving a stand-up electric scooter.

The rider sustained a significant head injury and abrasions to his hands.

He was transported by UMass Lifeflight to Baystate Medical Center for treatment.

The accident occurred on Plain Road near Fox Run Drive.
