Man arrested on drug charges in Syracuse

SYRACUSE, NY — New York State Police executed a search warrant at 1443 Burnet Avenue on June 5, 2026, at approximately 8:10 a.m. following a two-month joint narcotics investigation with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The warrant was executed by members of the New York State Police Troop D Community Stabilization Unit, Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, and the ATF.

During the search, investigators recovered numerous plastic bags containing powder cocaine and crack cocaine with a combined approximate weight of 1.1 pounds.

Investigators also recovered an operable digital scale containing cocaine residue, narcotics packaging materials, narcotics dilutants, instruments used to process cocaine and crack cocaine, and more than $5,000 in U.S. currency.

State Police arrested Randy L. Brimley, 46, of Syracuse, and charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, a class A-I felony.

Brimley was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree – narcotic drug with intent to sell, a class B felony, and three counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree, class A misdemeanors.

Brimley was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center pending arraignment.
