DUNDEE, NY — A 68-year-old woman was arrested on DWI and resisting arrest charges after allegedly striking an ice cooler in a parking lot.
Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 2 Water Street at approximately 9:12 p.m. June 4 for a report of a vehicle that had struck an ice cooler in a business parking lot.
Upon arrival, deputies observed Patricia A. Gardner, of Dundee, behind the wheel of the vehicle in the parking lot.
Deputies observed multiple signs of intoxication from Gardner.
While attempting to conduct a DWI investigation, Gardner refused to exit the vehicle, according to deputies.
Once deputies removed Gardner from the vehicle, she continued to resist apprehension.
Gardner was placed into custody and transported to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for a blood draw.
She was charged with DWI common law, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration.
Gardner was released on an appearance ticket to appear at the Town of Starkey Court at a later date.
