Woman arrested on fraud charges in Hope Valley

HOPE VALLEY, RI — State Police arrested a Providence woman on multiple fraud charges following an investigation by troopers.

Linda Carrasquillo Delgado, 65, of Providence, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. and charged with obtaining property by false pretenses/personation over $10,000, fraudulently obtaining public assistance over $500, and fraudulent use of food stamps over $500.

Troopers located Delgado at her residence as part of a barracks investigation.

She was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

Delgado was given a future Third Division District Court date.

In a separate incident, troopers arrested a West Greenwich man on domestic violence charges at 8:38 p.m.

Lucas Fitton, 30, of West Greenwich, was charged with domestic violence simple assault, first offense, and domestic violence refusal to relinquish or to damage or to obstruct telephone.

The arrest resulted from troopers responding to a residential address in Exeter.

Fitton was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

He was released with a future Fourth Division District Court date.
