CARLISLE, PA — A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted homicide following a shooting outside a sports facility.
Middlesex Township Police were dispatched to Carlisle Sports Emporium at 29 South Middlesex Road at approximately 10:42 p.m. on May 30 for a reported shooting incident.
Officers learned that a physical altercation had taken place outside of the business between several patrons.
A male later identified as Naeem Jamil Thomas of Harrisburg produced a handgun during the altercation and subsequently fired a shot, striking another individual.
The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Thomas was identified and located at approximately 1:15 a.m. on May 31 in Mechanicsburg and was taken into custody.
Thomas was charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.
