CORNISH, ME — A local man has been arrested in connection with a fire that occurred on Old Pike Road last week.
Pather Joyce, 18, of Cornish, was arrested Saturday on a warrant charging him with one count of arson and one count of failing to control/report a dangerous fire, according to the Maine State Fire Marshal.
The charges stem from a fire that occurred at 32 Old Pike Road on the night of May 25.
Three individuals shown in a video released Friday have been identified and contacted by investigators, who determined they are not suspects in the fire.
The investigation revealed that Joyce acted alone, according to the fire marshal.
Joyce is being held at the York County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
