Teen arrested on disorderly conduct charge in Horseheads

HORSEHEADS, NY — A Trumansburg teen was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge following an incident at a local school.

Lucas Szypula, 18, of Trumansburg was arrested on May 28 for disorderly conduct, a violation, after an incident at BOCES Phoenix Academy in the town of Horseheads, according to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office.

Szypula was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Horseheads Town Court at a later date.

HORSEHEADS, NY — An Elmira woman was arrested on a drug-impaired driving charge following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident.

Haley A. Reese, 30, of Elmira was arrested on May 29 for driving while ability impaired by drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, after an investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the town of Horseheads on March 29, according to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office.

Reese was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Horseheads Town Court at a later date.

ELMIRA, NY — A Horseheads woman was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

Abby R. Spencer, 29, of Horseheads was arrested on May 29 on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, issued by Elmira City Court on May 22, according to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office.

Spencer was arraigned by the City of Elmira Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail in lieu of bail.
