Man arrested on contempt charge in Bath

BATH, NY — A homeless man was arrested on a warrant after allegedly violating an order of protection.

Jackie J. Fisher, 52, was charged with one count of criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

The Village of Bath Police Department was dispatched to a report of a potential order of protection violation at approximately 4:30 p.m. on May 26, 2026.

Police determined Fisher had violated a full stay away order of protection by being observed via surveillance footage in the presence of the protected party.

A warrant for his arrest was requested and issued by Bath Village Court.

Fisher was taken into custody on May 27, 2026.

He was arraigned in Bath Village Court, where he was remanded to the Steuben County Jail with the opportunity for bail.
