Woman arrested on drug charges in Auburn

AUBURN, NY — Investigators executed search warrants on a woman and her residence following an investigation into narcotics sales.

The Finger Lakes Drug Task Force had been investigating the illegal possession, sales and distribution of narcotics conducted by Ashley L. Gordon in Cayuga County, according to Sgt. D. Edmonds.

Investigators obtained court-authorized search warrants for Gordon and her Auburn residence.

On the afternoon of May 27, investigators detained Gordon outside The Cayuga Inn at the Finger Lakes at 37 William St. and executed the search warrants.

A quantity of cocaine was located and seized during the execution of the search warrants.

Ashley L. Gordon, 39, of Auburn, was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a class C felony.

Gordon was arrested and processed at the Auburn Police Department and later arraigned on the charges.

She was released on her own recognizance.

The Finger Lakes Drug Task Force is comprised of members of the New York State Police, Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and Auburn Police Department.

The Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office will be prosecuting the case.
