QUEENSBURY, NY — State Police arrested Donald E. Blodgett, 34, of Hudson Falls, on May 26, 2026, for grand larceny third degree and conspiracy fifth degree.
Shaun J. Symons, 48, of Whitehall, was also arrested on May 27, 2026, for grand larceny third degree and conspiracy fifth degree.
Troopers responded to a property on Quaker Road in Queensbury on Jan. 15 at about 10:32 a.m. for the report of a stolen vehicle.
The investigation determined that the vehicle was allegedly stolen from the location during the early morning hours by Blodgett and Symons.
The stolen vehicle was located the same day at approximately 8:30 a.m., abandoned in the area of Curtis Avenue in Rutland by the Rutland City Police Department.
The vehicle had sustained significant damage and appeared to have been intentionally set on fire.
Blodgett surrendered himself to State Police Queensbury, where he was arrested and processed.
He was then transported to the Queensbury Town Court, where he was arraigned and remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash, $5,000 bond, or a $10,000 partially secured bond.
Symons was arrested at his home and transported to State Police Queensbury for processing.
Symons was then transferred to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
