SARATOGA, NY — A 55-year-old man was arrested on drunken driving charges after deputies found him unresponsive in a vehicle early Saturday morning.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check at 12:17 a.m. on County Route 69 in the town of Saratoga.
Deputies found a person reportedly unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with the trunk open.
Scott C. Crandell, of Saratoga, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, both unclassified misdemeanors.
He was also charged with parking on the paved part of a highway, an infraction.
Crandell is accused of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.15%.
He was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Saratoga Town Court.
