VERNON, VT — A 65-year-old man faces multiple charges after allegedly driving erratically on Fort Bridgman Road on April 21.
Deputy David S. Gaillardetz of the Windham County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle traveling south on Fort Bridgman Road from Brattleboro crossing the yellow line multiple times.
A deputy observed the vehicle crossing the yellow line numerous times and initiated a traffic stop.
Upon making contact with the operator, clues of impairment were observed.
Kevin A. Stevens, 65, of Vernon, was arrested after an investigation.
Stevens was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing.
He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense; violation of conditions of release; and driving while criminally suspended.
Stevens was released on a citation to appear at Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division, at a later date.
