Motorcyclist killed in crash in Linden

LINDEN, NJ — A Perth Amboy man was killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of West Edgar Road at approximately 11:40 p.m. on reports of a serious motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

According to initial reports, two motorcycles, a 2009 Suzuki and 2009 Kawasaki, were both traveling north on West Edgar Road when they collided.

As a result of the contact, the Suzuki was forced into opposing traffic where it collided with a 2025 Mazda CX5 that was traveling southbound.

One of the motorcyclists, a 32-year-old man from Perth Amboy, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second motorcyclist and the driver of the Mazda were both transported to Newark University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau.
