LAKEWOOD, NJ — A Lakewood man faces drug charges following a motor vehicle stop on John Street on May 25, 2026.
Officers from the Lakewood Police Department stopped a vehicle after observing suspicious activity during proactive patrol.
A department K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle during the investigation.
Officers recovered suspected crack cocaine, suspected counterfeit narcotics pills, and items commonly associated with narcotics distribution.
Santo Davila, 40, of Lakewood, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
He was transported to the Ocean County Jail pending court proceedings.
Davila was also issued several motor vehicle summonses.
The investigation remains ongoing.
