BRISTOL, RI — A months-long narcotics investigation led to the arrest of a Bristol man on drug charges Friday.
Christopher Desouza, 53, of Bristol, was arrested May 22 after Bristol police executed a court-authorized search warrant at 680 Hope St.
Police said the investigation stemmed from suspected narcotics activity at Mosaico Park on Wood Street.
During the search, officers seized cocaine and fentanyl from Desouza’s person and from inside the residence, along with narcotics-related paraphernalia and distribution materials, according to police.
Desouza was charged with possession with intent to deliver a schedule I/II controlled substance, maintaining a common narcotics nuisance and possession of a schedule I/II substance within 500 feet of a school zone.
The charges resulted from a collaborative investigation between the Bristol Police Patrol and Detective divisions into Desouza’s alleged role in selling illegal narcotics in and around Bristol.
