MONSEY, NY — A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle from a residential driveway.
The incident occurred during the overnight hours of May 24, 2026, when a vehicle was stolen from a driveway in the Monsey area.
Ramapo Police detectives and patrol officers immediately launched an investigation into the theft.
The stolen vehicle was subsequently recovered on a residential street in Spring Valley.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified a suspect who was captured on surveillance video.
With the assistance of the Spring Valley Police Department, the suspect was located and taken into custody on May 26, 2026.
The suspect has been charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, grand larceny in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree.
The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned in Ramapo Court.
