TOPSFIELD, MA — Three people were arrested early Monday after police discovered firearms during a traffic stop on McLeod Lane.
Lt. Frost stopped a gray Nissan Altima at approximately 3 a.m. near Salem Road and McLeod Lane for a non-functioning license plate light.
Officer Lippi assisted with the stop.
Officers observed what appeared to be a firearm in the back seat of the vehicle while speaking with the occupants.
Two juveniles and one adult were arrested on charges including possession of firearms without a license, possession of large capacity magazines, and possession of defaced firearms without serial numbers.
Additional charges are pending.
