Man arrested on multiple warrants in Oakdale

OAKDALE, PA — A 35-year-old man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested at a motel following a month-long investigation.

Mason Smith, of Washington, was taken into custody without incident at the Fort Pitt Motel on May 26, 2026, according to Washington County Sheriff Tony Andronas.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrant Unit, assisted by North Fayette Township Police Department detectives, conducted the arrest.

Smith was wanted on an outstanding Washington County Adult Probation warrant.

He also faced an outstanding arrest warrant from Allegheny County on multiple charges, including four felony counts stemming from a sexual assault.

Smith had two additional arrest warrants from Washington County for Protection From Abuse violations involving the victim of the Allegheny County sexual assault case.

Deputies developed information during their investigation that Smith was staying at the Fort Pitt Motel in North Fayette Township, Allegheny County.

Deputies set up surveillance in the area and positively identified Smith before taking him into custody.

Smith is being held in the Washington County Correctional Facility.
