Man arrested on drug, weapons charges in Waterbury

WATERBURY, CT — A Waterbury man faces multiple charges after police seized two firearms, drugs and cash during a search warrant execution on May 19, 2026.

Brian Brown, 36, of Waterbury, was arrested after officers from the Waterbury Police Department’s Vice and Intelligence Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Gang Task Force, and Auto Theft Task Force executed search warrants for Brown and a residence at 129 Locust Street.

Police seized two firearms, including a Glock 26 9mm and a Glock 19 9mm, along with three high-capacity magazines and ammunition.

The Glock 26 was later confirmed to have been reported stolen out of Waterbury.

Officers also seized approximately 6 grams of crack cocaine and approximately $5,000 in U.S. currency.

Brown was charged with theft of a firearm, operation of drug factory, two counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, three counts of possession of a high-capacity magazine, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
