ROME, NY — A woman faces robbery and larceny charges following two theft incidents on Erie Boulevard West on May 22, 2026.
Rome police responded to a reported larceny at Domino’s restaurant at 113 Erie Boulevard West at approximately 8 p.m.
During the investigation, officers were approached by a female victim who reported the same suspect had just stolen her vape pen.
The investigation determined the suspect forcefully took a backpack from the victim, removed a vape pen from inside the bag and fled the scene.
Officers located Ashleigh P. Rimiller, 32, of Rome, a short distance away and took her into custody without incident.
Rimiller was charged with robbery in the third degree and petit larceny.
She was processed at Rome Police Headquarters and transported to the Oneida County Jail for pre-arraignment detention.
