LAKEWOOD, NY — A Jamestown man is facing felony charges after allegedly destroying property at Walmart and threatening police officers with a knife.
The Lakewood-Busti Police Department responded to the Lakewood Walmart on Thursday for a report of a subject destroying property inside the store.
Upon arrival, officers found several damaged items throughout the store totaling approximately $2,240.84.
Officers were directed to the alleged suspect on the grocery side of the store.
The subject was identified as Emmanuel Molina-Nazario, 40, of Jamestown.
Police confronted Molina-Nazario and issued verbal commands for him to stop.
Molina-Nazario allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened officers.
He subsequently put the knife away and attempted to flee the scene.
Molina-Nazario was taken into custody without further incident.
He was charged with menacing a police officer, a felony, criminal mischief in the second degree and resisting arrest.
Molina-Nazario was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
