NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI — A woman was arrested on drug and obstruction charges Tuesday night following a barracks investigation.
Troopers arrested Shayna Viens, 36, of Woonsocket at 9:01 p.m.
Viens was charged with possession of a Schedule I to V controlled substance – 10 grams or less (cocaine) and obstruction.
The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Rhode Island State Police Scituate Barracks and the North Smithfield Police Department locating the subject.
Viens was transported to State Police headquarters, where she was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
She was released with a future Sixth Division District Court date.
