NEW HAVEN, VT — Two men were arrested on impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle crash on South Street on May 23, 2026.
Troopers responded to the crash south of the intersection of Main Street at approximately 10:50 p.m.
Michael Findlay, 59, of New Haven, was found operating the truck when troopers arrived.
While speaking with Findlay, troopers detected indicators of impairment.
Findlay was screened, placed under arrest, and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.
During the investigation, it was determined that Alexander Amory, 27, of New Haven, had been operating the truck at the time of the crash.
Amory was located, screened, placed under arrest, and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.
Findlay was charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
Amory was charged with his second DUI offense.
At the conclusion of processing, both men were issued citations to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, at a later date.
