CORINTH, NY — A head-on vehicle crash on State Route 9N left one woman dead Saturday evening.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash near Antone Mountain Road at approximately 5:32 p.m.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2018 Jeep Compass operated by Joan Meyer, 84, of Lake Luzerne, crossed into the oncoming lane, striking a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado traveling the opposite direction.
Meyer succumbed to her injuries at Saratoga Hospital.
The operator of the 2020 Silverado was transported to Albany Medical Center with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the accident.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, Corinth Fire Department, Luzerne-Hadley Fire Department, Greenfield Fire Department, Jessups Landing EMS and Moreau EMS.
