ELLENVILLE, NY — A woman was arrested after allegedly assaulting her former partner and stealing her phone during a domestic dispute.
Ellenville police responded to a reported domestic dispute at 11 Tuthill Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police determined that Arelis M. Colon, 29, of Ellenville, had gone to the residence of her former partner and engaged in a dispute in which she pulled the victim by her hair and forcibly stole her phone, according to a press release.
The suspect fled before police arrived at the residence.
While police were interviewing the victim at the police station, the suspect pulled into the station and placed the stolen property on the victim’s windshield, which was captured on the department’s video feed.
The suspect was arrested a short time later.
Colon was charged with robbery in the third degree, a felony, and harassment in the second degree.
She was processed and taken to Ulster County CAP for arraignment.
