RUSHVILLE, NY — A man was arrested on a drug possession charge after deputies say a baggie of suspected crack cocaine fell from his person.
Jeremy F. Borsching was taken into custody at 9:05 p.m. May 19 at 53 South Main St. in the Village of Rushville.
Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the location to assist Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies who were effecting an arrest.
While Ontario County deputies were making contact with Borsching, they witnessed a small plastic baggie containing a white crystal-like substance fall from his person, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
The substance is believed to be crack cocaine.
Borsching was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree.
He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Potter Court at a later date.
