NORTHBRIDGE, MA — A 14-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle and suffered a head injury Wednesday morning.
The Northbridge Police Department received a 911 call at approximately 6:56 a.m. reporting the incident.
The girl was transported to UMass and is listed in stable condition.
Officers arrived to find the driver of a 2005 Mercury van tending to the victim.
Andrew Boreliz, 55, of Whitinsville, was arrested at the scene on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Boreliz was later transported to Uxbridge District Court for arraignment.
The accident is under investigation by the Northbridge Police Department and the Central Massachusetts Accident Reconstruction team.
